Two year old Colin is probably the most adorable boy I have shot. A plethora of different looks and always hit his mark. Check them out
Last Friday I was on assignment shoot for The Littlest Heroes project, an organization very dear to my heart. Shannon & I went to shoot 11 month Cate Rumbarger who is a twin daughter to Leah & Chad Rumbarger (I grew up with Leah). They were possibly the cutest little girls I have ever worked with and their story is so amazing. They were born three months early and weighed just a little over 1lb. Through wonderful medical assistance and a devoted mom and dad. Leah and Cate are growing like weeds. Cate has been diagnosed with LCH or Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis. She is currently in treatment via chemotherapy since April 08 and continuing until April 09. I have left a link to their website so that you may learn more about their life. http://www.lylaoliver.com/Rumbarger.asp
Thank you to my beautiful wife for creating 'on the fly" backdrop
One of the great privileges I get to experience as a photographer and simply as person who truly cares is the ability to photograph children and families who are dealing with extreme circumstances. As a photographer for the Littlest Heroes project I have had the opportunity to meet some beautiful children inside and out. Madeline is another wonderful example of the resiliency of children. Madeline was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in 2006 and has just ended two and half years of intense chemotherapy and treatment. She is now in remission and doing great.

This past weekend I had the pleasure of photographing my most favorite model Annalise Smith. "Annie" was adopted by my best friend Jerid and Marin Smith one year ago from Taiwan. Many of you may recall during that time Jerid was unable to travel to Taiwan with Marin due to awaiting a lung and liver transplant in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Marin made the international trip on her own and brought her home to meet her new daddy. I have had the pleasure of photographing Annie's life during her first year in the states. She is an absolute pleasure to work with and already works the camera at two years old. I am also incorporating off camera lighting in just about every shoot I do know. This was no exception. All photos were shot with and Oly FL-50 flash shot through a 48" umbrella. Light is so key to bringing images to life and I am enjoying the exploration and study of off camera lighting. Oh... by the way for those of you who are curious, Jerid is doing great after his transplant.
